Purchase Policy: Babies are sold for the listed price when weaned. We do not sell unweaned babies. Babies can be reserved after they have been pulled from the nest box. A deposit of 50% of the purchase price will hold a baby until weaned. Deposits can be paid by cash, check, or paypal. The remainder of the cost must be paid in cash at time of pickup. If we do not currently have babies of the species in which you are interested, the birds are on eggs, or babies are still in the nestbox then we will be happy to add your name to our waiting list. Those on the waiting list will be contacted in order when a baby of that species becomes available.
Health Guarantee:
Gabby’s Nest, Inc. guarantees the bird(s) against pre-existing conditions; such as bacterial disorders, parasites, viruses or deformities at the time of sale / shipping. This means that our babies are free of viral infections, pathogenic bacterial infections, fungal infections and congenital defects. We do not consider a growth of gram negative bacteria post-shipping to be disease but recognize that this is a stress-related reaction to being shipped. Should the bird become ill or die from disease within three (3) days of purchase and is determined by an avian veterinarian the bird was sick upon arrival it will be handled as follows:If the existing condition is of a minor, correctable nature we will pay for any treatment. If the condition is of a more serious or permanent nature we will, at the buyers discretion, refund the purchase price or (subject to our availability) replace the bird(s) with bird(s) of equal value. If one of our babies becomes ill or expires after the sale as a result of a congenital defect present in our bird prior to its being sold, the buyer shall have the option of a refund of replacement bird of equal value. Notification shall be made within 24 hours of onset of symptoms or guarantee is void. Any diagnosis of any pre-existing conditions must be made by a licensed avian veterinarian.Gabby’s Nest, Inc. will reimburse buyer for all prescribed medications, but Gabby’s Nest, Inc. reserves the right of taking the bird and having it treated by its own veterinarian. Should buyer request another bird, Gabby’s Nest, Inc. will pay for all expenses in replacing the bird including shipping.
The bird(s) is a hand-fed baby and many hours have been expended in its care, development and taming to ensure a happy, healthy and well-adjusted pet. However, birds are not domesticated animals and no guarantee is made as to temperament and/or personality. Birds are not returnable except under these conditions set out in this health guarantee. The purchase of any of our birds indicates acceptance of this guarantee. |
